DID YOU KNOW -- VHSL held its first girls soccer championships in 1984 with James Robinson Secondary School of Fairfax claiming the title, 3-0, over Woodbridge Senior High School. Since then, Robinson, West Springfield High School and George Mason High School have claimed a VHSL-record five championships. Jamestown High School of Williamsburg won the first Group AA title in 1999 and George Mason High School of Falls Church won the first Group A championship in 2002. Clarke County, Group A champions in 2005 and 2006, own the VHSL-record of 37 consecutive wins.
In 2010, Stone Bridge High School of Ashburn won its first-ever Group AAA title, while Broad Run High School of Ashburn won the Group AA championship for the third straight year. In Group A, George Mason High School won its third straight title and fifth overall.
8,217 girls at 272 member schools participated in girls soccer during the 2009 season, making it the second most popular sport for girls.

Take 29 south into Charlottesville to the 250-East Bypass toward Richmond. Drive approximately four miles on 250. After you pass the Pantops Shopping Center (Applebees, Giant, Starbucks, Liberty Gas Station), turn RIGHT onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
Take I-64 East to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Hwy. 250. At the fourth light, turn left onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
I-64 West to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn right on Rt. 250. At the fourth light, turn Left on State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
