Claudia Dodson SEI Award

The Claudia Dodson VHSL Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity Award presented by Wachovia recognizes member schools that have established policies and procedures that make sportsmanship a priority and an expectation within the school and school community. Previously known as the Wachovia SEI Award, the award was renamed in 2007  to honor the memory of Claudia Dodson, a VHSL Assistant Directror from 1971-2002.  Claudia was passionate and insistent that the educational basis of VHSL programs remain at the forefront.  No one did more to establish and promote standards of behavior expected from coaches, athletes, activities participants, students and team followers.

The Dodson SEI Award is presented annually to any member school that, by submitting to the League a self-assessment tool » developed by League staff, provides substantive evidence that sportsmanship is a priority within the school and school community.
