STATE INFORMATION

Double Logo on Undergarments in Track and Field
Certain manufacturers are placing their logo on the collar or front of the shirt and again on the back. In some cases, the back logo may also list the size of the garment. If the student-athlete
is wearing such an item as an undergarment, it becomes illegal ONLY if the second logo is visible. If the second logo cannot be seen, there is no conflict with having a legal uniform. The second logo being visible may vary from athlete to athlete and how his/her uniform fits. Thus, officials should focus on the visibility of a second manufacturer’s logo. POSTED 3/21/06
