VHSL Announces 4A All-State Basketball Teams

Loudoun Valley's Jordan Miller selected 4A Boys Player of the Year and Monacan's Megan Walker selected 4A Girls Player of the Year; John Handley's Jason Toton and Monacan's Larry Starr named 4A Boys and Girls Coach of the Year


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA
The Virginia High School League 2017 Group 4A all-state boys and girls basketball teams have been selected.  Loudoun Valley junior guard Jordan Miller and Monacan senior guard Megan Walker were selected boys and girls player of the year after leading both teams to state titles. John Handley's Jason Toton and Monacan's Larry Starr were were named 4A boys and girls coach of the year.  Starr led Monacan to its third straight title, while Toton led Handley to the boys state semifinals. Other teams will be announced as they are selected.

Eight (8) players were chosen on the first team and eight players were selected for the second team regardless of position.  Only those players selected to first team all-region teams were eligible for selection to the all-state team.
