Boys Volleyball

DID YOU KNOW -- VHSL held its first boys volleyball championships in 1997 with First Colonial High School of Virginia Beach defeating Monacan, 3-1. Clover Hill High School has claimed a boys record three championships.

In this year's 2010 finals, James River High School of Midlothian won its first VHSL boys volleyball championship with a five-game win over Ocean Lakes High School.  Results »

1,167 boys at 64 member schools participated in boys volleyball during the 2009 season.

2011-12 Season

First Practice - Aug. 1, 2011

First Contest - Aug. 22, 2011

Contest Limits - 20 dual matches; or 18 duals and 1 tournament*; or 16 duals and 2 tournaments*

District Deadline - Nov. 5, 2011

Region Deadline - Nov. 12, 2011

VHSL Championships - Nov. 7-19, 2011

*Tournaments must be conducted over no more than 2 consecutive days.  Teams are limited to 15 sets per tournament.  Match format may be modified for non-dual/tournament play.
