Girls Swim and Dive

DID YOU KNOW -- VHSL held its first girls swimming championships in 1997 with West Springfield High School claiming the Group AAA crown and Jamestown High School of Williamsburg winning the Group AA title.   Since then, Lafayette High School of Williamsburg has dominated Group AA swimming with a VHSL-record five championships from 2004-08.  Langley High School of McLean won four straight Group AAA titles from 1998-2001. 

James Robinson Secondary School won the AAA title with Osbourn Park High School finishing second in the 2009 championships.  In group AA, Hidden Valley High School won its first swimming title denying Lafayette a sixth-straight VHSL championship

4,060 girls at 173 member schools participated in girls swimming during the 2008-09 season.
