Boys Swim and Dive

DID YOU KNOW -- VHSL first conducted swimming championship in 1997 with Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria winning the first title. In 2010, Oakton claimed the Group AAA title, ending James Robinson Secondary School's streak at seven straight swim championships.   

Group AA/A held its first championship in 2000 with Lafayette High School of Williamsburg capturing the first crown.  Since then, Jamestown High School of Williamsburg has won four state titles, including three in a row from 2006-2008.  In 2010, Brentsville District won the boys Group AA/A crown followed by Hidden Valley High School.

3,513 boys at 174 member schools participated in boys swimming during the 2008-09 season.
