DID YOU KNOW - Group AAA played its first VHSL boys soccer championship in 1982 with Lake Braddock High School of Burke winning the first of its five state titles. Group AA held its first VHSL boys championship final in 1989 with powerhouse Blacksburg High School winning the first of its VHSL-record 11 state titles. Clarke County High School won the first VHSL Group A championship in 1999 and made a Group A record four straight appearances in the state finals, winning back-to-back titles in 2006-2007.
In 2010, Frank W. Cox High School of Virginia Beach won its second straight Group AAA title, while in Group AA Blacksburg won back-to-back championships and its third title in four years. In Group A, George Mason High School of Falls Church won its second straight and a record fifth Group A championship.
9.614 boys at 277 member schools participated in boys soccer during the 2009 season, making soccer the third most popular VHSL boys sport.

Take 29 south into Charlottesville to the 250-East Bypass toward Richmond. Drive approximately four miles on 250. After you pass the Pantops Shopping Center (Applebees, Giant, Starbucks, Liberty Gas Station), turn RIGHT onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
Take I-64 East to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Hwy. 250. At the fourth light, turn left onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
I-64 West to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn right on Rt. 250. At the fourth light, turn Left on State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
Take I-64 East to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Hwy. 250. At the fourth light, turn left onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
