Girls Indoor Track

DID YOU KNOW - Armstrong-Kennedy High School of Richmond won the first VHSL girls indoor track championship in 1982. Group AA held its first championship meet in 1999 with Charlottesville High School winning state crowns in back-to-back years. Lake Braddock High School of Burke is the VHSL-record holder with seven indoor titles, including three consecutive championships from 1985-87.

In 2009, Bethel High School was crowned Group AAA champions for the fourth time in six years, while Blacksburg High School took home the Group AA title for the second-straight year.

5,523 girls at 208 member schools participated in girls indoor track during the 2008-09 season.
