
DID YOU KNOW -- VHSL held its first girls cross country championships in 1979 with Kempsville High School of Virginia Beach winning the Group AAA title. Group AA crowned its first champion in 1980 (Virginia High School, Bristol) and Group A in 1985 (Stonewall Jackson High School, Quicksburg). Blacksburg has won a VHSL-record 11 state championships and will enter 2009 as the Group AA three-time defending champion. Midlothian High School has won the past four Group AAA crowns, while George Mason spoiled Clarke County High School's quest for a fifth straight Group A title defeating Clarke by just three points in this year's (2008) team competition. Brentsville District of Nokesville, won a VHSL-record seven consecutive Group A state championships from 1995-2001. More »

Take I-64 East to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Hwy. 250. At the fourth light, turn left onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
I-64 West to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn right on Rt. 250. At the fourth light, turn Left on State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
