Activities
The VHSL proudly celebrates 95 years of progress in education, serving 312 public high schools and sponsoring academic activities which involve nearly 25,000 students annually. State championship activities include: debate, creative writing, forensics, literary and art magazine, newspaper, Scholastic Bowl, theatre and yearbook.

Judges Needed
Theatre judges are needed to evaluate Group A and AA district, region and state festivals October through December. If you are interested and pre-approved, please contact Lisa Giles for a festival assignment. If you are interested, but have not yet been approved, please send your theatre-specific resume with contact information to Miss Giles at the email address provided.

Take 29 south into Charlottesville to the 250-East Bypass toward Richmond. Drive approximately four miles on 250. After you pass the Pantops Shopping Center (Applebees, Giant, Starbucks, Liberty Gas Station), turn RIGHT onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
Take I-64 East to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Hwy. 250. At the fourth light, turn left onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
I-64 West to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn right on Rt. 250. At the fourth light, turn Left on State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
Take I-64 East to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Hwy. 250. At the fourth light, turn left onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
