The Virginia High School League (VHSL), in partnership with its corporate sponsors, is proud to offer scholarships for college bound seniors. Through these scholarships, the VHSL is committed to supporting and investing in Virginia's youth. We encourage parents and students to take advantage of these scholarship opportunities.
Ten $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year honoring ten high school seniors representing all parts of the state with the VHSL-Allstate Achievement Award, the highest honor given by the VHSL to students who have excelled in the classroom and in athletic and academic activities. Each year the VHSL and Wachovia Bank recognize six students to receive $1000 Wachovia Citizenship Scholarship Awards. The program was initiated in 2000 to recognize graduating seniors who go beyond the expected to give of themselves to serve others. Each year the VHSL awards $500 to one college-bound senior who has participated and excelled in school publications (magazine, newsmagazine, newspaper and yearbook), and for at least two years has demonstrated outstanding personal qualities such as leadership, writing, proficiency, design aptitude, creativity, teamwork and character. University of Phoenix and the Virginia High School League are partnering to provide educational and life opportunities to Virginia High School League's outstanding young men and women. To that end, this scholarship program will be awarded to help one deserving high school senior who will have graduated on or before August 1020 reach their potetntial through education. One $12,500 tuition scholarship will be awarded. Take I-64 East to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Hwy. 250. At the fourth light, turn left onto State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
I-64 West to Exit 124/Shadwell. Turn right on Rt. 250. At the fourth light, turn Left on State Farm Blvd. The VHSL building is the fourth building on the right.
