Scholarships

The Virginia High School League (VHSL), in partnership with its corporate sponsors, is proud to offer scholarships for college bound seniors. Through these scholarships, the VHSL is committed to supporting and investing in Virginia's youth. We encourage parents and students to take advantage of these scholarship opportunities.

Allstate Foundation/VHSL Achievement Award

Nineteen $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year honoring nineteen high school seniors representing all parts of the state with the VHSL-Allstate Achievement Award, the highest honor given by the VHSL to students who have excelled in the classroom and in athletic and academic activities. To find out more about the VHSL-Allstate Achievement Award, see the application form on the right.

Wells Fargo Citizenship Award

Each year the VHSL and Wells Fargo Bank recognize twelve students to receive $1000 Wells Fargo Citizenship Scholarship Awards. The program was initiated in 2000 to recognize graduating seniors who go beyond the expected to give of themselves to serve others. To find out more about the Wells Fargo Citizenship Award, see the application form on the right.

Savedge Scholarship Award

Each year the VHSL awards $500 to one college-bound senior who has participated and excelled in school publications (magazine, newsmagazine, newspaper and yearbook), and for at least two years has demonstrated outstanding personal qualities such as leadership, writing, proficiency, design aptitude, creativity, teamwork and character.  To find out more about the Savedge Scholarship Award, see the application form on the right.
